Benchmarking MLMs

According to Orrin Woodward's Blog, Orrin has been benchmarking MLMs and will be sharing his findings soon. Please see excerpt from Orrin's blog below:
In a previous career, I won a National Benchmarking Award for technical benchmarking. I was an engineer at the time at GM and enjoyed benchmarking and the learning associated with it. As part of my continuous life learning assignment, I benchmarked many companies in the MLM/Networking field recently.

In another month, I will share the results from my benchmarking study. I developed numerous criteria to determine the best and worst in each category. I believe it is my responsibility to ensure people have the facts to choose wisely in all of life’s decisions. Would a benchmarking study of the MLM/Networking industry be of value to you?

More Proof the Trust is Lost

The ship is sinking!

I know these are the extremes on either end, but it looks like back in June or July (probably June 30th/July 1st due to everyone trying to meet volume) Quixtar.com had over 100k hits. Then at one point in October it was down to only 40k hits for a 60k swing. But to be more fair let's look at Oct 31st/November 1st, it shows approximately 65k unique hits to Quixtar.com. Does this mean they have lost 35k IBOs? Probably not entirely, but it is a very good estimate of how many people are starting to figure out their shenanigans.

I can't wait until they get the postings for December 2007 and January 2008 (after this month is over) I'm sure it will continue to show a strong decline. Still don't think there is anything wrong with the Amway corporation?

Sadly, the Amway Transformation is Underway

Disclaimer: I claim no ownership to any of the images within this post.

The Amway transformation finally begins. Take a look at the new logos that will be used over the next year to ease the transformation from Quixtar to the more hated name of Amway.

Don't believe it? Just direct all your questions to Steve Lieberman, after all he signed the notice that was kept from anyone under Platinum:

So why such a slow roll out of the name change? What are they afraid of? Why not just announce it and change it? Let's see what all they have to say:
As noted above, March 2008 also marks the start of media advertising and public relations for the new AMWAY Global brand. We’ll be giving you all the details of the multimedia, multimillion-dollar campaign – messaging, media, and dates – during the coming weeks and months.

Last question: Why spend "multimillion[s of]dollar[s]" (I heard almost 1/2 billion) on a campaign to make a branding name (Amway) seem like a good thing when they already claim there is nothing wrong with it in the first place, hence switching back to it, when that could be distributed in bonuses to Quixtar IBOs who unanimously voted (by proxy of the IBOAI) not to change the name?
